Hinterland blocks off the Blackall Range are usually heavier clay with a rockier subsoil. That difference shows up directly in machine time and price. A straightforward half-acre building envelope clear with light regrowth typically runs $3,000 to $6,000. A fully treed hinterland block with retained canopy requirements can run well past that.
